History:

Oneota Net has been providing Internet connectivity for the residents of Decorah, IA since its founding in 1995. We also service the community of Ossian with a dial-up service, so anyone who can call there with a local call can get our dial-up with no added phone charges for long distance.

These communaties include Calmar, Fort Atkinson, Postville, etc. In 2006 We added Dial-up in Waterville, so that any people in Waukon, Churchtown, Lansing, Harpers Ferry, etc. can get our dial-up as well. Oneota Net is privately owned and run by Lane and Amy Schwarz.

Since the fall of 2000 Oneota Net is run from our office and cybercafe on Waterstreet in Decorah. Our main business is to provide dial-up and wireless internet service. We also provide other services such as website hosting and general computer troubleshooting.

Services:

We currently offer Dial-Up and Wireless Dsl service to Decorah and Ossian. You can check our coverage page page to see whether you can reach the service with a local call.

Wireless DSL service for highspeed internet is available in Alamakee and Winneshiek Counties, provided your house or office are located inside our area of coverage. Wireless DSL coverage depends on whether there are any obstructions between your home and our closest transmission tower.
